Family ride
Took mywife and kids out for a ride today. Had a lot of fun but it's funny how your experiences change as a parent. Instead of worrying about yourself you're in charge of loading 5 bikes, 5 riders, 5 sets of gear (5 bladders..).
It seemed that someone always needed help due to stalling, wiping out, Where's neutral?? You get one bike fired up and the rider sorted out and someone else is stuck.
It was great though and I only had one quasi meltdown when we were loading and my "helpers" were wacking each other with the tie downs fifty feet from the trailer.
A cold MGD and some 'Me" time in the garage cleaning the bikes and puttering brought life back to the normal chaos we thrive in.
Thanks to all who post on here. As someone who's getting back into riding and introducing my kids to it I appreciate the knowledge and support I gain from you.

RE: Family ride
sounds like you have your hands full for now. I remember those days with my son and daughters. My son is the only one who still rides today, and hes a terror out there.
In fact, he has informed me that when he gets his licence in a week, that hes "taking over my bike"
Sound like we will be back to wrestling in the living room..over bike keys... man my wife is going to kill us.....LOL....

Good times, man!
Things heard from the back seat:
"Are we there yet?"
"Daaaad, he's looking at me."
"Stop touching me!"
"I'm hungry."
"Ooooh, Billy just let one!"
"Well, you said you were hungry."
Yep, good times.

RE: Family ride
Good on ya!
You have every man's dream...a wife who rides. Don't know how my wife would react if I bought a bike for my daughter. Especially over here. Thanks for sharing that.

RE: Family ride
I just bought my 6yr old son a CRF50for christmas thats one reason why I got to buy my KLX250 so we could ride together.Hehas just been riding on the cul-de-sac with training wheels for now (when weather permits) but hes itching to go offroad with me ASAP and ditch the training wheels. The CRF50 is an auto with 3 speed shift, funniest thing yet was him learning to shift into second gear, he did it under full throttle and almost pulled a wheelie...scared the crap out of him. My 11yr old daughter wants a bike now. My wife will not ride for any reason, she said maybe on a 4 wheeler but no motorcycles. When we were first dating I had a RM125 that I rode all the time. She asked me to teach her...so she got on ripped the throttle back fully and popped the clutch...man she did the best wheelie I have ever seen...full 90deg to the sky. Needless to say she fell off on here tailbone and never got on another bike again.
Anyway...sounds like yu had a great time.

"Don't make me stop the car!"
"Look we are not going anywhere until we decide where we are going to eat."
Or how about
"Honey quit looking at all the stuff on the side of the road and pay attention"
"I will turn this car around if you guys don't knock it off"

Well, I would rip on ya for not having any pictures, but it sounds like you already had your hands more than full.
I find that the after the ride clean up and bike check is almost as fun as the ride itself... as long as I have a cold beer to go along with it.
