Fall Hatfield McCoy Weekend. Oct 3-5
Had a great time. Im still amazed at how nice the place we stayed was. Great breakfast, she even washed and dried our riding clothes after each day. It felt like staying at your grandma's house or something, amazing.
Loaded up before the lube thursday.
I didnt take many pics but i ton of video. Got down there friday and i went and grabbed some food and by the time we were ready to ride it stopped raining. We rode for 4 hours or something and only went 10 miles. I think we went up the hardest trails i have ever gone up. Spots where it took all 4 of us to get each bike up the trail. Got back to town went to the mexican place for dinner.
A guy that gave dual sport tours, Jeff went in and talked to him, he had a map on the wall of all the good roads in the area.
Woke up to a great day for riding saturday. Cool, partly sunny. I think we totaled 61 miles. Rode to Williamson to eat and fuel up and rode back.
Sunday I didn’t ride, I was really sore and they were only riding for a few hours. Plus the other guy that drove got a flat tire on his truck and I changed it for him while they rode. It was fine I had a great time walking around the town checking out all the historical things. Lots of Hatfield McCoy stuff. There was a flood wall around the whole town. I talked to an old guy that lived there his whole life and was telling me how bad the 1977 flood was.
Overturned tractor trailer on the way home being looted.

Thanks for all of the pics. I love exploring all of the old sections of the towns around here and finding out all of the history of the mountains. Sometimes it's really hard to imagine how difficult it was to live up here and it really amazes me that they were able to accomplish all of the things that they did.
Gotta love the bastions around the town-kinda like a old world walled city.
