Default Fair price to ask for 2006

Overall great shape. 6500 miles. Kenda 761 tires with 2000 miles but still look like new, really.

Big Gun Evo-X full exhaust. Jetted, Uni, can't remember what else. Bike runs great. I would like to sell it for no less then $2800 but wondering if that's too much to expect realistically.

I don't see any photos but if the bike is in good condition, and with your modifications, I would be asking around $3,600.00. These 250S bikes are NOT readily available (used) in my area. This makes them relatively valuable!

I know it is a little off base, however how do you like the kenda 761's? I was thinking about getting a set for my klx.

I'd say if you can get $2500, you'd be doing good. high miles and it being well used from what the photos indicate, it won't bring much more. so you're in the ballpark. there are better, lower mileage examples available for the same price however, so it may bring less to a skilled shopper. good luck.

one more thing- removing the stickers may bring more dough. I know if I were shopping for a used bike, your imo, gaudy decals would put me back in my vehicle to look at the next bike on my list. just what I believe. but would you buy a car with bumper stickers plastered all over the bumper?

I think 2800 is very good price. Stick to your guns and good luck with the sale.

just remember that sticking to your guns may inevitably make you stick with a bike you no longer want. being flexible is key when selling something you want rid of today. if you want $2800 for something, ask $2900-$3000 for it so you can come down to your target price. if you don't really care if someone buys it or not, like I am currently with my '09, then you can stick to your guns. so, bottom line- if you want $2800, ask $3000 for it but preferably not on a forum where potential buyers see your post about what a fair price is. now, post it up on thumpertalk.com classifieds for $3000 and hopefully someone will offer you your target price, $2800.
