Is there a way we could take our exhausts off and measure air flow? Apart from hanging it upside down and pouring water down the head pipe and measuring how long it takes to flow out?

im sure there are test rigs designed to measure flow, but is there something that someone could do at home..... i doubt it.

HEY, I resemble that remark buddy !!

I am an engineer also, and tend to defend our circle a bit vigorously at times.

I think the majority of them have the intelligence to do these things proper.
Now if you start talking common sense, well, um,...ok... so they all aint einstein !!

Hang the pipe upside down, with the header at the top. Pour some water in. Of course you'd have to get some sort of adapter pipe at the top because I'd think the header would actually open facing down because of the curve.

I do not think that would be an accurate measure of airflow at all.

I'm thinking maybe something with a Shop-Vac in reverse could be hooked up. The problem is in measuring the air flow.

You could always wrap your lips around the head pipe opening and blow as hard as you can....see which is harder.

But that would be just wrong.
