Default exhaust questions

gi have a 07 klx250s. I called the local kawa dealer about getting a new exhaust system and they talked me into buying a two bros slip on and using the stock header instead of getting a full system? reckon it produces more power?

i cant see how this could be?

anyone can back this up or disprove it? as i wanted a big gun full system...

Can work that way, can work in reverse, dealer trying to unload 2bro slip-ons? High performance and high bucks doesn't mean good results. Sometimes the exact opposit gets the best results. As a baseline go with what the guys on this forum have tried and proven ok, otherwise buyer beware.

How much more than just upgrading the exhaust are you prepared to do?
Just a slip on it's own won't do much.
I believe Westoz is pretty happy with his 2 Brothers and a re-jet.
I have the BG full system. But I also have a 300 kit, pumper and no air box lid.
Can't comment on what just the BG system is like on it's own though.
Probably not much.

My 2BR M7 does an excellent second job as a horn. I just crack the throttle a couple and times and 95% people move. Only once has it not worked and that was yesterday, loser was in lala land until I passed his lameness and opened it up wide.

I really don"t think you will notice too much difference with just the slip on or full system by it's lonesome. I would like to say I noticed my 2BR on my 09 FI KLX but I think it's more to do with the engine breaking in as the KLX seems to get better as it ages.

Two Brothers works for me (I'm happy with 250cc.) If you're going 300cc or bigger I think the full system is worth the extra $$. If I had the $$ I'd go a Staintune big bore header full system. The best by far IMHO, also the most $$. Quality costs.
