What do you guys make of this?

I don't know why he includes a screen. The KLX300 muffler already has a spark arrestor.

and on a stock klx250 ('09 anyway), you would have to do some cutting and drilling. the klx300 exhaust has a removable backplate (or whatever it is called), the '09 is welded. that is the main reason i switched to the 300 exhaust. you can switch to different levels of noise within 30 seconds...

I also have such a tip on my bike (KLX250 with 300 exhaust). I guess the reason for the screen is that when you remove the original end plate, the pipe that was extending inside the exhaust is removed with it. That may render the turbine type spark arrestor ineffective?

That might be it.

I extended my tip on the inside to mate with the end of the internal outlet.

Just got a message back. They do not make a tip for the 250SF.
