Everyone in the NORTHEAST

RE: Everyone in the NORTHEAST
I'm with NoBrakes, I've got a 9 hr drive and will bring the rain gear out of my street suit if need be. I believe someone said the trails are kinda sandy anyway, so a rain shower will improve riding conditions as far as dust and traction are concerned.

ok that's what i wanted to hear about that.. how about the DEP? how strict is new jersy about off rode vehicles?is it legal to ride off road down there? plate or no plate it's illegal to ride anywhere off road in rhode island and connecticutt is getting bad also. we do ride out there but you can't stop for anyone on the trailcause you never know who it'll be. they run stings up here to pinch us. they had a airplane patrolling over the brooklyn/pomfret areas in norheastern ct last summer.
i'm 90% sure i'm in. i'm just curious.

If your riding your street legal KLXS250, have a plate, and produce, upon request your insurance, regristration and Drivers licences with the "M" designation, then you can legally ride any of the fire roads in the state parks.
No ifs, ands or buts about it......
Hope that helps!!
BTW, had a great ride down there today, it was in the mid 50s (BEST RIDING TEMP IMHO) and we jammed!! (I'll post pics in a bit) The 3 PLUS inches of rain we had on Friday morning made for some interesting water holes to ride through!!

RE: Everyone in the NORTHEAST
I think that during todays ride, I stumbled onto the wilderness campground that EMS and Company were talking about.. It looks pretty cool and quiet (It's litterially in the middle of the pine barrons...), but yeah, I think the Bass River lean-tos, running water, hot showers, picnic tables and fire pits will be a welcome upgrade....
Here's a fire road map of the general area within Wharton state park for your viewing pleasure...(remember, this is but ONE of MANY state parks we will be riding in......)
sorry about the flash....
My son taking a break while I play photog....
Some pics from yesterday from the same area....my friend getting thatevil 'road air' out of his tires!!!!!!
Not only did we have water holes up to 2 ft, we had entire washouts to work through due to the heavy rains on Friday...
At least the bikes were clean again.... not really.. just kidding Deej......They are still a mess....
Some pics to get you stoked for the Memorial Day ride!!
