Well just got back from dropping my bike off at the dealer, the guy there took it for a quick spin while i waited and said it sounds like its coming from the bottom end.... that cant be good... he said its definately a bad noise... good... im glad im not just paranoid, or its not just the cam chain tensioner... our bikes have a year waranty on them right?
That sux, man. Did he think it might be piston/crank related? Ouch! Whatever it is, if it's serious, I hope your warranty covers it. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll be something easy like a broken water pump blade or something that's making all the racket.

Eric,

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I mentioned earlier that I have a ticking, but I think we have different problems. Mine is noticeable, but I would find it hard to believe that I have anything major wrong. My car makes a lot more noise than that when I put 87 octane in it. Keep me posted on your outcome and don't let the dealer charge you a penny!
