Has anybody installed the edge taillight kit? If so, how difficult is it to replace the stock rear fender and taillight with the edge taillight kit?

 

I have it on my bike. It´s a drop in replacement, if you get the one for the KLX. It uses the bushings and bolts from the stock tail light.

I also have the 12oclock Labs board with it. I´ve got it with stock connectors and it took about 20 min to replace the whole thing. Brighter LEDs and integrated blinkers.

Never took a look at the stock DRC board, so I am not sure what connectors come with it. I´ll try to remember and check it when I get back home.

 

I had it was an hour or so to install, looked good. But on my 09 it wasn't visable from all angles in the rear. I've been rear ended twice in the past on bikes so I went back to stock for better visability.

 

I installed it on the 09 as well looks great but I have some concerns as well with the visability. The light seems to sit far under the fender, maybe a slight mod to the bracket length would do the trick. Has anyone tried extending the bracket? Another thing for the winter project list.

 

yea i was concerned about the visibility of the edge taillight as well. I really just want to get rid of the wail tail!

 

You've removed your carb. Changing the stock light for the edge was much easier.
