Default Dynolicious

Anyone here know or heard of Dynolicious? I have it on my iPhone for a while now and tried it a couple of times. I just stumbled to it while checking some not so used apps and thought I'd look on the net about its accuracy. Here is a couple of links I found.

Dynolicious : Automotive Data Logging Tools for Mobile Devices
Dynolicious Featured in Road and Track « BunsenTech, LLC
argument supporting the accuracy of dynolicious - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum

BTW, the run I've done on my DTX showed 19hp. I think tomorrow I'll go out and play with it some. If you use it, it would be cool to have some numbers posted.

Cool. But buying an Iphone would cut into my motorcycle budget. I apply this same logic to all potential non-motorcycle related toys that I might like to have. So, I don't have an Iphone.

There are 2 equivalent apps for the phones on Android , one is ADyno and the other is Dynomaster . The latter one is 5 $ . The formula for calculating power is RPM multiplied Torque over 5252 if you measure torque in ft·lbs or 9549 if you measure in N·m . Using a presumably accurate accelerometer in the phone , and having the correct weight entered in the setup may lead to pretty close results . Of course if the axis of the phone and the vehicle don't coincide you may calibrate all you want the results will be sqewed . There are other apps that go a little further , they have a OBD II interface , so you can use them to extract trouble codes or visualise engine data on your presumably modern OBD II equipped car .

IF I am reading it right, it also uses acceleration time like 0 to 60 to figure horse power. Speed and acceleration are calculated from the gps along with the phone.

I will keep looking.

I am finally figuring out the phone. Its really just a small computer.

Yeah , speed info is GPS , so it's as acurate as it get's .
Smart phones are NICE :
I really like my Desire and my X10 mini pro , browsing , email , chat , FM and internet radio , internet tv , youtube , GPS , all kind of documents and on and on and on...
