dynojet vs oem

dynojet vs oem
has any one jetted with one and switched to the other. ie, jetted ur carb with stock kawi parts, and then decided to switch to the klx300 dynojet kit. just wondering if u noticed any power or response differences. i have heard the dyno jet needle is "better" and thinking about switching from the oem parts i installed.

don't waste your time, money, and effort. I've had the oem keihin parts in my '06, and now a DJ in my '09. there is no difference in performance between the two. Had the oem parts had been as accessible as the DJ parts were, I'd a gotten them again but I had my Muzzy and didn't want to wait a week and a half for ronayers.com to ship the parts here. I'm talking the KLX300R DJ kit, not the '09 kit with the more conservative needle for street use.

I've had mine set up with OE parts from new. We have a good dealership locally so spares aren't a problem. Finding the correct jetting took some time, but I had it pretty much dialed in under 500KM. The N1RX needle we have here was a little tricky to set as it involves raising it with washers. I'm very happy with the result and the bike can now embarrass my friends on their WR's and XR's.
