dynojet 2 or 3 washers?

HB is right. Follow the directions. Becareful, I just did mine (2010) carb. I stripped one of the screws on the bottom of the carb. Ended up using a hacksaw to cut into the screw head to make it flat...got lucky and it came out. I had spare screws hanging around and one matched perfect. Also make sure you take the smog **** out. Go to Advance Auto or Napa and get vacuum cap assortments, about 6 bucks....

Also you can replace the easily stripped phillips head screws on the carb bowl with Allen head bolts that won't strip out. They will be easier to get at to loosen too. You have to be more careful with the Allen head screws so that you don't over tighten them and strip out the carb

Leave the washers out and try to move the needle up an down. It needs 2 or 3 washers to take up the slop. They ARE for adjusting. Top, or bottom of the clip is fine tuning the needle position. I put the clip up one notch then put three washers below the clip because they did not fall around in the slide while I was trying to assemble everything.
