Default Dyno Test & Chart - DJ144 2N w FMF System

Details:
FMF Megabomb & FMF PC4 , Lidless, DJ kit 2152, MCM cam retime, 600ft ASL, 4th Gear
DJ144 main jet, 2N on Needle, #40 Pilot w Fuel Screw to midway between idle drops

Analysis:
Best power levels to date. While the lean bulge/spike starting @ 8k has been mediated (only reaching 13:1) , the needle reset from 3N to a leaner 2N still results in an overly rich midrange.. The curves suffer from the richness below about 6.9K RPM's.

I enjoy watching your dyno reports. It's been an interesting effort. I'm curious, only for curiosity's sake, what DJ2206 or Kaw N1TC needle would do. I could send you a used 2206 if you wanted to try it out.

Well the 2206 calls for drilling the "air hole" in the slide - whereas 2152 has the spring.. So, to test it properly, I'd have to drill the slide and that'd commit me.. I've studied the 352 needle in the 2206 in my KLX300 - It is much more aggressive than the 228 (2152 kit needle).. It will flow more of the main jet sooner if its' actuation curve with the drilled slide is similar to that of the 2152 spring - So, some unknowns there..

Obviously this is another disappointment - Yes the numbers are best-to-date but the 144 went far richer than expected compared to the 140 (.8 richer) and the move to 2N did not compensate/mitigate the 144 at all in the midrange. In fact, when comparing the 140/3N chart to the 144/2N, I can't tell that 2N did anything different. That fat midrange is what I would have expected from 3N with the 144...

The 144 ran about 1 point leaner than the 150 - 144 peaked at 13:1 and the 150 peaked at 12:1...

I'm pretty sure the 144 I got from my dyno shop is a DJ jet. It was new but loose in a partially used DJ kit..It was marked exactly like other DJ jets..
