Ride tested with 5N and 3.5 turns out on the fuel screw. All I can say so far is WOW !
The ramp-up of power as the bike comes up on the needle is incredible. I'll test ride a little more with new fuel - The fuel in the tank is very old, at least 4 months old. - then back to the Dyno for a run.. The bike carburets perfectly.

Great stuff Klxster, looking forward to seeing your dyno run with the needle at 5N.

I took a short short trip yesterday with the 128. Lots of long straights to test WOT. I didn't compare with the 126 but I had no problems and very good performance. No hesitation at all during the 3 hour trip, half the time at wot. I was hitting 130kmph in 5th gear at around 10k rpm, repeatedly. How does that compare with the numbers you are seeing? May not be so impressive with the power loss at 5k feet.

Did a late night test ride with the full FMF system... Again, WOW ! Carburets perfectly and perhaps pulls even harder in the midrange - Gonna try to get Dyno runs tomorrow..

I'm paying very close attention to what Neonarcs and Klxer are coming up with. At 5000 ft I'm now running 128 4n snorkel out smog off DG on stock header. 3 turns out on gas screw. I'll play with it a little and then do the WOT TEST. Fun tinkering. I too noticed very little difference between 124 and 128.

What's your MPG with this setup? Do you track it along with your carb changes?

I would recommend running tests with and without the lid. Both of us are running without it. Who knows, maybe you like maybe you don't, but at least you tried both. It's simple enough too.

Also, for your fuel screw try the test in the Pilot System Tuning section of this page. I've seen that test recommended several times in the forum and I've used it myself.

No IDRIDR, mpg is not a part of my program. The variables involved in accurately determining an informative MPG - one that makes any sense at all for the forum members - pegs my apathy-0-meter.

Awesome, looking fwd to seeing your results. Curious question if you don't mind me asking, how much does a dynorun set you back?

My Dyno shop now only charges me $30 per session/run... So I'm about to spend $60 on this "shoot out"...
