For All You Georgia and Southern riders!!

Durham park is being investigated by FOX 5 about past accidents and deaths that have occured on the grounds of the park. Hmm, its a dirt bike, /ATV park, accidents happen. Even at our local Mountain bike park, people get really messed up, me being one of them falling of the side of a cliff at Blankets Creek in woodstock, luckily I landed in the lake and didn't splat on a rock.

Dang, don't ya' just hate those Liberals?

They don't ride, don't know anything about riding a motorcycle, but feel that they have enough knowledge to comment about it being dangerous. The same type of mentality pervades the media!

I know, let's just fire them all and get people in there that are not out to "scoop" something for thier own self-righteous interests!

 

Durhamtown Plantation may simply be the victim of its own success; that is, the bigger it gets the more attention it will get from "regulating" entities, such as Greene County and the GBI. The more people that ride there, the more injuries, but I bet statistically it's less dangerous than the State-run ORV areas. When you get hurt there (state ORV), there is no ambulance, paramedic, or trail sweeper to find your sorry ***. Also, no-one is counting injuries at the State ORV areas; it's rare to see a ranger other than doing a drive-by in his truck at the ORV parking lot.

This is a big red flag for all of us; first they'll close the private places to ride, then the safety-****'s will shut down the state orv areas for fear of lawsuits, etc.

We'll all wind up riding in circles in our subdivisions if we don't do something. So, write letters, go to county meetings to support DP, and tell the state how much you enjoy the ORV areas!
