Default DUDE! I just got my registration renewal

I got my bike's registration renewal today and was shocked to see it was $105! For a small dirt bike! Wow, California loves to stick it to you anyway they can. But I wouldn't live anywhere else.

In New Hampshire it's based on a percentage of the original price. As the value lessons, so do the costs of registering vehicles. My truck was once over $300, it's now probably $60.

Its based on the price of the vehicle in Michigan too... the price brackets only go so low though, eventually your still paying like $150 a year for a truck you bought just because it was the luxury model. I think my bike was like $40 ish... we can include state park pass for $5 though which is nice during the summer months.

Ha ha, renewal ?

You only have to register a bike once in Montana, they are permanent plates.

One time fee of $40 for mine back in the day.

$105?

How does $630 (AUD) annual registration fee for my bike sound like? Different in every state though, but it is not far off. And that is with some time spent to shop around for the cheapest deal.

My bikes are 18$ a year. Cars and trucks go by GVW here, so my 1/2 ton pick up is 83$ but a 3/4 or 1 ton is more. I would like to see california break off and float away. Too many fruits and nuts over there...

$65.00 per year here in the Imperial State of New Jersey. Minimum liability insurance is only $135.00 a year. Well worth to ride on public land.
