Question Draining carb bowl

Sorry for the super-noob question here guys, but can someone fill me in on the procedure for draining the carb?

Just taking my bike out of storage I can't get it to start. I suspect it's because I was lazy and forgot to treat the gas before I put it away for the winter.

Thanks!

On the bottom of the carb, when veiwed from the throttle side of the bike, you will see a 3mm hex screw. Loosen that up and whatever is in the float bowl will drain out the tube...be sure to a container down to catch the fuel.

D'oh! There it is, right there, of course...

They don't make that thing easy to get to do they? I'd hate to have to do it on a hot engine.

Thanks.

If you still have trouble, you may have to take the carb out and clean its insides. I 've had carbs sit over the winter and get all gummed up. Only took me cleaning the carb out two times on my old KLR to learn to put Sta-bil in at the end of the season. Hope yours fires right up with fresh fuel.
