Along witht the 351 kit I am getting the pumper carb, Will that be as hard to jet as the stock carb or harder?

Harder. With a CV carb you can't abruptly whack the slide open, with direct lift carb you can. In a CV carb the vacuum controlled slide will pretty much keep the mixture from going to too lean when you open throttle.
With direct lift you have to get the partial-throttle jetting more spot-on and you also need to tune the AP for best throttle response.

CV carbs (like the stock) are very forgiving for incorrect jetting.

TM34 Mikuni Pumper Carburetor is what his website says, it is a TM33 carb bored out to 34mm. Any thoughts on this carb?

We tore everything apart last night. I forgot what a pain the carb was to remove. Everything went smoothly and I am sending the bore to bill Blue today. Does anyone know if the TM34 Mikuni is any easier to install? Also what is the electrical plug on the side of the stock carb for?

The way I understand it Bills carb should be plug and play.

I know nothing about lectricity..... (mine does not have it)

Isn't that OEM part 21176-1078 (Sensor), which I think someone else described here as a throttle position sensor. The wiring diagram shows this sensor connecting to the crankshaft sensor and IC Igniter.

The wiring diagram and Illustrated Parts Breakdown pdfs can be found somewhere around on the forum -- that's where I got them. I could email them to you if you PM me your email address.

So...what happens to the carb sensor with a BB TM34 or the 36. Does it just go away?
