I picked my tank up from Just Gas Tanks. Good service. I had to wait something around 6 months for delivery as they were back ordered from the manufacturer. They fit okay on '06-'07, and will fit the '09+ bikes with minor issues. Do your research before buying so you aren't surprised. You'll find most answers on this forum with a search. At least one member also installed a fuel pump to get most fuel out of the wings without needing to slosh it around. I didn't, though. I like sloshing.

This link says you have to move the wiring harness, is that true? Does not seem like anyone has reported that on the threads I read. How is the choke issue resolved? Thinking this might be a worthwhile investment once I get my jetting right.

HEY - MY 1,000TH POST. MAY BECOME A MEMBER OF PWI !!

I didn't move the wiring harness. May be an issue for '09+.
The choke lever can jam against the petcock. There are work-arounds, like shaving off a little from the lever grip, holding the lever open, shortening the lever shaft, and others.
The '09+ seat won't fit as well against the tank - leaves a little gap. There's pics around hear if you search. Other good links:

Thanks for the info! How much fuel you reckon is "sloshing" in the wings? Is the fuel trapped there usable on the trail? Looks like a cool project.

Kawasaki = Green BUT if I could save a grand by buying a red one, I'd buy a red one.

The red ones stand out in a crowd. I bleed green, but for $3200 new i can live with red. It has kinda grown on me, no plans to change plastics.

Does it come with a new petcock? Does it have res like stock? Do you use the stock petcock? If so does it retain its current position on the bike? I don't know that I would need to do the pump mod.

TNC reported something like 1/3 gallon or less while trail riding I think. Smooth, flat road may be something closer to 1/2 gallon. There's a little "bowl" where the petcock sets and fuel will slosh into it when levels get low. I ran pretty dry on a long ride on the highway, pulled off the side, tilted the bike over to the left to get the fuel from the right wing over to the left one, and put about 10 to 15 miles on without issue before hitting the gas station. About 95% of the fuel will be useable, but you may need to lay the bike over several times to get the last bits. Its like multiple reserves!

It comes with its own petcock that has a reserve. Didn't use the stock petcock, and I'm not sure if I could. Petcock is close to the same position, but not quite. I pointed mine rearward; it can be reversed to point towards the front, but that interfered with the choke lever more. Not many do the pump. It's more for those who watch their miles and levels close and don't want to switch to reserve or tilt the bike over, which to me is no biggie at all.

I'll try to remember to snap a pic or two and post in the 351 build thread.

I don't have a lot of mods I really wish to do to this bike, but I think the Acerbis tank just got put on it.
