Default Does Color Matter?

I'm seeing a lot of the bikes using alternative body parts. Is this a functional modification or just a matter of preference? Also, I really want the black/green combo or an all green bike. What cost range is involved in swapping out to the alternative parts. Off year, red seems to be able to save me almost a grand at this point. Thanks!!!

preference or performance?
Green is faster!

okay...
I've not yet noticed a good site for obtaining aftermarket plastics at a reasonable price. Some have painted the white plastics black with good results.

Yes, alternating colors is a functional modification.

I see some of the bikes here with Acerbis radiator cowls in green, along with some vented fenders which seem to be dirt oriented. Those bikes are green. Never saw one of these stock in all green and like the look and the function of the parts hanging on the bikes I've seen at this site. Just wondering where they are available. Thanks for the help.

The new models are black/green, which is decent. I like the look of the bike and the functionality of the various items I've seen in pics here. In the long run, I just hope to cover it with dirt.

I think the green Acerbis rad cowl you see is the 3.7-gallon Acerbis tank (pick below). Don't know about the vented fender.

Cover it in dirt! Now you're talkin.

Whats the part number on that tank? I looked at their site and don't see a model specific KLX250s tank. Is it another model that just fits?
