Default DJ kit for 09sf

Hi there, just purchased a nice bone stock 09 SF and have been reading up on modding the little thumper for more power. Lots of good stuff here.
I noticed the normal dj kit is the 2152, but on the DJ site it lists a separate kit for the sf, the 2182. When viewing the kit list it seems all the parts are the same.
Just curious if anyone knows the difference.
I'm really starting to like this little bike, its a blast in the corners, and its fun wringing its neck, but could use a bit more stomp on the highway. BB most likely over the winter.

I have not compared the 2152 to the 2182, but if all the needle and jets are the same, check the instructions (downloadable from their site) and see if they have you drill the slide on the SF kit...

The difference between the 2152 and the KLX300 kit is the more aggressive taper on the 300 kit's needle and the slide is drilled. The 2152 kits alters the slide movement by a replacement spring instead of drilling the slide.

FWIW,
TC

The two kits have identical part numbers. So I assume the 2152 and 2182 kits are identical..

Just install as per instructions.

You get your wanted power on the highway when you replace the exhaust, remove the airbox lid, and properly re-set-up the carb (which will need the DN0228 needle in the kit)..

Yep, check KLXster's posts, he has the proof and is the King at wringing the most hp out of a stock bike or one with an after-market silencer.
