When I unplug my TPS, I get an extra 5 horsepower according to my butt dyno.

But yeah, I recall what wildcard is stating on Raycour's findings that it did nothing.

I've found my butt dyno to be one lying a## dog.

No change - I'll just leave it alone.

Yeah, I double checked not so long ago and the TPS has no influence on ignition timing with the carbed bikes (at least, the north american ones).

There is no TPS at all on 09 and later (also, valid at least for NA bikes). The 09 CDI does not even have connections to accept one.

TNC: this does not make your butt dyno invalid. My bike does the same 5hp gain when I disconnect the tps, specially when I'm close to meteorites emitting gamma energy trying to contact aliens. Am I being assimilated?

Wild: what you mean by KTRIC?

LOL!...I'm telling the truth. You'd better wear a tin foil hat when you get around those meteorites. The buggers will read your mind.

Kawasaki Throttle Response Ignition Control

Uses throttle position to enhance "driveability" by varying the ignition timing.

Alot of the carbed kawis had it, including my 6R. Unplugged it long ago and never looked back though.

Detailed write up on my blog if anyone is interested.

You're talking crazy now...

Only a SS collander can keep them from reading your mind...

Interesting, thanks. Curiously, in the motorcycle world they seem to do the opposite of what's typically done in cars: I'm used to see more timing advance at part load than at full load (read: part throttle, vs full throttle when throttle opening is the only information available to the ecu). From a physical standpoint, the latter makes more sense to me...

Not sure if they will find something interesting there

I must confess, since that thread from the meteorite chaser a few weeks ago, I use meteorites presence to explain all sort of things.
