Default Dirty Dyin's-Relic's Ride Report -Nov. 14

Well, what a beautiful day.Just got back home last week and this was my first sensible ride, so my destination wasn't important.
This is my track from GPS

Headed towards Clarenville and as soon as I hit the "mainland" jumped on the track as far as Shoal Harbour bridge.

Seen this along the way. Not exactly sure what happened. Maybe a few beers did not make this bud-dy wieser!

Then a bit of pavement again for gas and some chain oil . Headed west on TCH for a bit then turned left out White Hills Resort road. Once in so far theres a big turn. Here you branch out on a gravel resource road that will lead you to China's Pit. (Also known as Shriner's or Tavenor's pit). Man, was this road ever muddy! Bit on edge at first but after a while was getting the hang of it. Remember, I'm still learnin'.

Contrary to many designer's opinions: Brown does go with Green!

Seen an eagle along the way but wasn't fast enough getting the cell out to take a picture. So while standing there decided to take a pic of something more stationary!!! Hmmm.....should I wipe my boots before going for a coffee at Timmy's(?

Will this stuff ever end??????

Well after about 7 kms of that stuff the road gets better.

Next pic is NOT a trackplot of a man pirate in desparation after taking a wrong turn on the way to coffee shop.

It's Relic tracks in the sandpit!!!

Headed out the gravel road and then joined onto trailway leading back to Shoal Harbour. Stop at Tim's for coffee (people were giving me a wide berth in the line-up:unsure and headed home. 128 kms total and had a blast!
Sorry about picture quality but I resized/degraded to allow for faster upload using dial-up.

Looks like a fun ride, track and scenery just like some of the tracks here in Scotland. Was it a solo ride?

Solo ride indeed. Unfortunately all my rides are solo. Dual sports in my area are very limited.
Scotland and Newfoundland are far apart but there are a lot of similarities.
After all it's just a little pond separating us.

Nothing better than searching out new trails/roads to go exploring on.
