Dinged crankcase cover replace and protect!?
So we were doing a small boulder climb yesterday n I laid my bike down it was dirty n didn’t notice anything at the time.
woke up today with a puddle of oil under my bike. Looks like it’s leaking through a little ding in the cover. Easy way to replace? Or do I have to go to the stealership...?
also, can someone point me to a good skid plate that could protect vs this in the future?
TIA

I use a Richocet on mine. I've beat the crap out of it for 6 years with no engine damage. It definitely has some battle damage but it still works.

Not all bash plates are the same. My ozzie built B&B would probably have saved you as there is a bit more protection in that area as it stick out fairly wide. Something to keep in mind when sreaching for local available (assuming you are US as you called them boulders, not rocks )
