Digging into carb/DJ settings tomorrow: Needle and slide questions...?
After messing with airbox mods/variables and fuel mixture screw (Per DJ troubleshooting instructions trying to identify my commonly occurring stall upon rapid clutch/decel), I'm going to do what DJ suggested and try adjusting the needle. My particular bike seems like it likes more fuel (than less), so I figured I would first try raising the needle one notch/righening midrange.
Set up: DJ kit 2152 - Stage 2 set up, Twin air filter with KDX snorkel, modified stock exhaust (0.5" drill bit 10" long one hole drilled all the way down stock opening, and two more drilled directly under that (Still reasonably quiet but lots more flow.) , and 128 main jet as recommended by DJ with these mods. Needle is set up per their instructions for the 2152 kit Stage 2.
Two questions: What are your thoughts/advice with going one notch richer on the needle? And could someone explain the reason (I've read) some are drilling a hole in the slide itself (I'd like to do this while I'm in there , but only if there is good reason/gain)?
The bike starts/chokes great, and pulls really good, no popping on decel (just the occasional stall on hard decel), but it does sound twangy/lean when revving instead of the deeper tone of a richer running bike (In my limited experience.). Any advice or thoughts on the needle setting and slide/drilling are greatly appreciated - as usual!

If you don't get an answer soon, you could message KLXster. He most likely has the most/best experience working with the DJ kit on the KLX. He would be the first source before doing anything.
