Different headlight for '09 klx?
I busted my headlight the other day & now need to replace it. I never liked the look of the stock setup, so I'm not that into buying OEM. Has anyone had any success with anything in the aftermarket?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I like it too. I think I read that yours is an '06, right? Mine's an '09 but there shouldn't be any big differences in instrument clearance should there? That looks really good on there. I like the graphic too. The stock headlight just looked too big and cartoonish to me - this is much cleaner. Thanks for the pictures, that helped a lot!

Some have put them on their 2009...Redpillar comes to mind. He had to do something a little different on the fender mount, but it didn't seem like much of a difficulty. Search the threads and you should find his posts and maybe some others.
My instrument panel & key are gone, replaced with trail tech vapor and toggle switches for ignition and an on/off for the headlight system.

The Trail Tech X2 doesn't leave much room for the stock gauges on the 06 07 bikes, I'm not sure how it will fit with the newer bikes. I actually removed my stock gauges and went with the Trail Tech vapor spedo. My gauges had been beaten up pretty good so I didn't feel too bad about replacing them. I'm sure the x2 could be mounted with the stock gauges on any year bike, but you might have to get creative with the mounting hardware. I got the black X2 and should have gotten the KLX graphic they sell to even out the black and green. FYI buying the decal at a later date will cost you 9$ for the decal and $10 for shipping!!!!! Should have bought it when I got the headlight.
Not a great pic.

I tried to find a year/model specific application for my '09, but TrailTech didn't show one (figures). What application (year/model) would be compatible with my '09 klx250? These are way cheaper than I thought they'd be. I've grown to dig the display on my bike, but it is a little bit clunky. And, if it's going to be in the way - it's gotta go!!
I guess I can always sell it on Craigslist or something.
