Ok as some of you know before I bought the KLX I bought a 1980 Yamaha QT 50 with 380 miles on it, I mean its mint. It was my intention to ride it to work in light of my disgust of the high fuel prices. Well 49cc and a 230 lb guy and a 9% grade hill to work,.....you do the math Anyway after the realization that this little machine was not going to be my "work bike" we decided to keep it around, since it was easy for anyone to ride. Well a few months ago my son Christian asked if he could ride it in our back yard. I was a little nervous but I decided to let him try, well he had no concept of how a throttle works or the skill to navigate around all the obstacles, so after almost going through a fence I decided he was not ready yet. Well Saturday he had that "come on dad let me try it again" look so I said on Sunday we would head up to work where I helped 4 other riders learn to ride a few weeks ago. Well let me tell you he was awesome, didn't wreck once, and he rode for at least 30 minutes and had a blast, I guess I just didn't give him enough credit. Here are a few pics, and now I am looking for a small bike (without the baskets ) probably either a KLX110 with the clutch-less system, or maybe even a classic trail 70. Well that was a good day for him, and now I have to find a bike.

Alright I tried to get them posted, but then realized that while editing a post people can still see the unedited post, that's funny, I was too slow on the draw.

I bought my 5 year old daughter a chinese bike off of e-bay. I wasn't sure she really wanted to ride. Now she has just about completly thrashed it and we have been looking at the KLX110 (still a little big for her). I was amazed at how fast she went from knowing nothing to scaring the crap out of me jumping off the kicker we built at my Dads house. BTW my wife wants a XT225 now that she has seen a pic of yours. She thought it was ugly on the showroom floor but now that she knows other wives are out there riding them she wants one. She wanted a street bike so I'm GLAD she saw yours.

She will absolutely love the XT225, my wife has learned so fast, and she is having a blast.

She rides my sons KLX125L now and is getting good also. It would be great to have her street legal. Looks like a for sure tax time purchase.
