dead in the water
got stuck in a puddle this weekend.
It was about up to the bottom of the airbox, and into the puddle maybe 20 feet, the bike just stalled and wouldnt start. i pushed it the remaining 20 feet or so to get the float vent tubes out of the water before it would start.
TomN went through it no problem and he didnt mod the vents with the "t".
So i guess i'll have to do the mod and see next time.

Here's my "dead in the water" moment from the Oregon dunes last Saturday. I was on my buddy's Husky TC510 just fartin' around in an open area when I crested a low rise at around 30mph and rode straight into this trench. I was able to land clear of the bike, but still the landing knocked the crap out of me, I've had a sore neck all week. We had to get some guys with quads to tow us back to the parking lot, since the bike was submerged before I was able to get to it to stand it up. The bike is fine now, and my buddy was incredibly cool about it, but I still feel bad about drowning his bike. We chatted with a ranger on the way out, and he was telling us about someone else getting a lifeflight trip out of one of these holes the weekend before. I was trying to be cautious, and let my guard down for a second and got bit. I've learned a lesson.
Note skidmark on the left and crater on the right. UHHHH!
