Can't believe I missed this thread! I have been camping in the White Mountains about every year since I was seven. I am 48 now. We have always camped on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation. My son and I are planning a trip over there this year in August to ride all the fire and logging roads. I know the Apache tribe does not allow off road riding on their lands, but I don't think there will be a problem with street legal bikes on the established logging roads and the roads that lead to all the camp sites. I am going to contact the Apache reservation officials just to make sure. Do you have any info on this Ariz?

Craig

Did you make it to Hannigan Meadow and Greer? There are some great roads from the lodge at Hannigan Meadow down to the Black River.

rcraig hello that is a good idea to check with the tribe, last i heard was they do'nt allow riding off the main roads there but i could be wrong i do'nt ride on there land because it can be hard to get a firm anse. there are plenty of good forest roads off the rez. let me know when your in the area.morning roadglider no we did'nt get that far i'll make it some day. i've driven it in my jeep before and camped it the area. hope to see you on the trails
