Darn side stand switch

Darn side stand switch
I unplugged and removed the sidestand switch on my 650 and want to do the same with the 09 KLX250. I did a search, no luck...
Is the switch able to be simply unplugged, does it complete the circuit when down? I didn't take the tank off to see where it plugs in, but I figure someone here has disconnected theirs and could tell me before I start taking stuff apart.
I appreciate your help.
I already was doinking around since the front brake lever doesn't work the brake light. Apparently besides the fact that the previous owners screwed up the plug, which is now functional, the bar riser they had on the thing apparently yanked on the leads and damaged the switch inside. Checking the wires proved no connection problems - aka broken wires and working the connectors a bit would initiate contact, but not consistent, I figure it has to be the switch. So I ordered a new switch.
Next is to cut down bars 1"/side, put on bark busters, install Zeta quick turn throttle tube, and see if I have room to install separate mirror holder clamps - hate to break a master cylinder casting or clutch lever perch.
So, there we go...

I have a project 650R...it has electrical issues...sad, as it hardly has a harness...I've found multiple patches made of speaker wire
I don't think my no spark on the 650 is caused by the kick stand switch, I don't think it has a switch.
If the egine internals (valves and cams) look ok and if I get it to fire, ever, I'll be needing one of your KCCT for it too. I put one on the 250 10,000 miles ago, only time I had to mess with it has been after a valve check. I thank you for that peace of mind.

I recently disconnected it on my '06, not sure if its the same. On the '06 if you follow the switch wires, they lead to two clear connectors under the seat, just behind the tank on the right frame rail. You can pull the switch wires going in, and just connect the two wires they went into.
I can post a pic if it helps.

I just cut the wire between the sidestand switch and the plug, then stripped both ends, butt clamped them in one side of the butt connector, and filled with liquid e-tape. I like to leave the wiring harness OEM if possible.
On my 2009, you had to make the circuit to run.
