D tracker Super Moto Wheels......
Hi all.
This is my first post so i thought i would say something that i have not seen yet. I have already done most the mods that ya'll have done, (ims tank, 13 tooth, supertrapp, etc) and I am running out of stuff to do.
Has anyone asked about buying, or importing D tracker wheels from Japan? I asked my local dealer and he was like, "What is a D tracker"
thanks
so for those of you that don't know....

RE: D tracker Super Moto Wheels......
There are a few that are adding large sized tires to the front of their dualsport bikes.
ZRod - a KLR650 rider from Oklahoma has done this on both his KLR650 and the Super Sherpa his wife Pam rides. I rode with both of them back in January and am impressed with their abilities, especially in deep, deep sand!
Here's a pic of their bikes
On the KLR650, the front tire is an 18 inch hoop laced on to his existing hub. I was told that if you go to Buchanan's Spokes, that you can buy the rim and spokes necessary to do this mod.
I'm going to try the Kenda 270 front tire in 3.25 width first to see if it helps.
I might wind up with a 5.10 front and rear tire on my bike before too long!

I must admit these are some really nice wheels for my KLX250S.
However I am not going to spend more for a set of wheels than I did for the entire bike!

As luck will have it, I will be in Tokyo in less than 2 weeks. I plan on visiting an English friendly Kawasaki dealer to see about ordering parts and shipping to the US. I will update this thread with a trip report when I return.

There is a street in the Ueno section of Tokyo that is all motorcycle shops. A must visit if you go to Tokyo.
