Good one. I didn't know these heavy arsed bikes could even leave the ground.

hahaa, yeah, I thought the same.. But I guess with enough speed you can overcome gravity pretty well

DUDE! That's a lot farther that I will ever jump. Wheelies are a different thing, but I like to keep at least one wheel on the ground....preferably the back one. I guess I keep imagining my frame snapping in half.

Which actually happened to me when I was 15. I bought a brand new Coast to Coast 10 speed, you know the ones with the Princess Leia handlebars, I used it on trails even jumping it, then one day I was riding to a friends house and there was like 2 inches of snow on the road and SNAP! the frame broke at the crank and down I went. My friend and I laughed our heads off for like 5 minutes. I took the bike back to the store and they gave me a new one.

Sorry I didn't mean to thread jack, just reminiscing......good times.

I wouldn't consider those to be small jumps for a KLX, very nice! I have some questions:

A) What year is your bike? I understand that earlier model KLXs have more suspension travel than the 09s, that could certainly help on jumps like the ones you took. I've bottomed hard on smaller jumps than that.

B) Stock suspension or modified?

C) How many clicks front and rear?

D) Your weight? I am around 215 without gear, that probably doesn't help my cause.

lostnite66 - that's an 07. Stock suspension, about middle of the road with the front forks, not touched on the back. I'm going to go through and tighten the front and back as much as they can go, as I did bottom out the front in that second jump. I probably weigh about 200-210 with gear. (180 base + full gear + full camelbak)
