Countershaft Sprocket

Countershaft Sprocket
I got the 13-tooth sprocket and anxious to put it on. Can anyone give advice on removing the countershaft sprocket. The nut is on very tight. Is there a special tool to hold the sprocket in place while removing the nut? I need to buy a socket large enough. If I need to buy a socket, can someone tell me what size the socket is?
Thanks!

RE: Countershaft Sprocket
The Best way to remove it is with a 1/2" air impact gun if you have access to one.
Hope this helps Only other choice is hold the rear brake and use a large breaker bar. And worst choice Punch with brass hammer .

This is how I got mine off.
Stand on the brake using your heel so that all of your weight is on the brake, (this is where having some extra girth comes in handy) other foot is out up in the air for balance. Reach over the bike and pull like a mother****er on the breaker bar.
Swear.
Swear louder.
Swear and say something about its mother.
It should come loose.

yes 27 mm and I just had someone sit on the bike and had it in first gear and the nut came right off, of you have to use an impact wrench or a breaker bar, in my opinion that's too tight. Don't forget to get the washer back off one side of the nut with a punch or a screwdriver.
