Cooling fan?

Cooling fan?
I have had my KLX for a few months now and have never noticed my fan kick on. Normally I don't sit in traffic much, but the last few days I have and it has been warm out. Has anyone ever had problems with the fan or the switch? Thanks for any input.

RE: Cooling fan?
Mine has only ever come on in first gear slow goingand when I left it idling to test what temp the fan kicks in. It never comes on when there is airflow through the radiators or even at traffic lights. If your interested the fan comes on at 100 degrees centregrade. Don't worry about it your fan will lick in when needed.
P.S. if your really worried check the fuse.

I have the same problem as well; I took the bike back to the dealer to have it fixed. They said the heat censer was bad so they replaced it that was last summer. It worked a few times after that but now it’s doing it again.

RE: Cooling fan?
I have 5000 miles on my bike and I've only had the fan come on once. First gear, really slow riding on tight trail and it was 100 degrees out, but it kicked right back off as soon as I started riding a little faster or downhill.

+1.
Stop-n-go traffic on a fairly warm day will do it sometimes, but the fan isn't constantly cyling on and off as is does on some other bikes or cars. I think it's due to having a pretty good cooling system. I too was a bit su****ious at first, but, no worries, the fan willrun if you give it a good workout at very slow speeds like crawling up a steep hill.
