the cam chain tensioner was replaced with a manual one this summer

i have since checked it by both trying to tighten and with it a bit more loose no change apart from chain rattle when loose

both had no effect on the noise

sorry but it is hard to film a sound when it is only during load and with warm engine

Maybe a friend or the wife could video while you ride?

Since the scraping noise is only while your riding, I don't think it could possibly be the valves. They are going to sound the same regardless of load or no load.
I would say it is something from the clutch on back to the rear wheel.

Since u are lid less & after u install a loud muffler, it will be fixed automatically!

just checked my valves

FL 0.15-0.20 FR 0.1-0.15 (FR is draging to point the 0.15 gauge is bendind if not supported)
RL 0.1-0.13 RR 0.1-.013 (0.15 did not fit)

i think i am gonna change the exhaust to the upper end of the scale and not shure if i wanna touch the inlet

did notice that the Air Suction valve System when i pinch the hose goin i half the airbox noise disaperes (maybe this warrents giving it a cork )

i will reshim valves first weekend in jan since i have hand surgery this wendnes day and can take the bike apart before new year and order shims for the first weekend next year
and be ready to install them plus my new exhaust

It's possible that you're hearing the steel reed valves vibrating at certain engine speeds. A simple block off plate will eliminate that as a source.

only happens (to my hearing) when the engine is warmed up.

does a block off plate kit exist that will make it look like it is still "working" ?
