Is it a conrod or a banana?
Thought i would share this moment with you guys. Walked into my mechanics shop & saw a stripped down klx (d-tracker) on my mates bench with a banana instead of a connecting rod....ouch
Poor guy drove his 2 month old bike into a puddle during the big rains earlier this month & it turned into a 5 feet deep trench!! Before realizing how deep it was, gunned the throttle to get thru the super puddle with throttle wide open & the bike now completly under the water! All that was visible was smoke & bubbles......
Everything works now the bike has dried out & the pressed crank/conrod assembly from a Kawasaki dealership came in at a great 2,900thb ($95).....bike should be on the road in a few days. And a klx300 bore kit is being bolted on.......and why not....it's not every day your bike gets stripped to the bone!!

I call it that long, skinny thing that goes between the crank and slug.
It's interesting how the hotrodding culture after WWII changed a lot of engine and mechanical nomenclature. I used to have a rad rail with fuelie heads, a blower, a rad bumpstick, and a stroker crank. One day at the strip a slug hit a valve, bent a conrod, and really ruined my run.
The proper Cambridge English translation: I used to have a highly moddified, 1/4 mile racing vehicle with fuel injected cylinder heads, an induction supercharger, an aggressively profiled camshaft, and a highly altered crankshaft and connecting rod assembly. One day at the local 1/4 mile racing facility, a piston struck a cylinder head intake valve, bent a connecting rod, and caused extensive damage that brought my competition efforts to a halt.
