Default Comet Cleaner works wonders

I had some nasty stains on my side covers that would not come off no matter what I used.

I took them both off and brought them inside so i could scrub them in the sink. I saw the Comet cleaner sitting there and decided what the hell.

That stuff not only removed the stains it brightened them up like new.

Just though I would share that info

Yep...back in the day...circa 1982 I bought my first car from my Aunt. It was a 1971 Firebird with a white vinyl top. It was black with mold, green with algae and the only thing that would clean that top was Comet!.

Nice looking Cragar's and 50's, Deej. Tell me it had the 400 with the TH400 automatic. Vinyl tops were great until the vinyl began to crack and rot.
(I had a '75 Grand Prix, as well as a 1927 2-door.)

Well the wheels were 50's on the back, but the motor was a Pontiac 350 which the heads didn't have 8 but 6 bolt holes for the headers. I was replacing gaskets every month. The tranny was a 350 turbo. I thought I was sooooo cool back then. LOL

Default Comet cleaner Works

I finally had the chance to try the Comet cleaner today.
I have the DirtBagz saddle bags on my KLX. They are great bags, but they left nasty marks on both my side panels, eye sores.
So, after reading here about the use of Comet, I tried it.
Here are the before and after pics.
Before

After

I even tryed it on the dirty seat you see in the second pic. it worked there too.
Thanks for the tip!

Wow I'm impressed. The comet prolly acts as a sort of sand paper on that plastic. I remember when that stuff came as a grity powder in a cardboard can way back when. I'll have to give it the old college try.

Looking much better!

I think the combination of bleach plus the mild abrasiveness is whats making it work.
