If you stay in Colorado Springs make sure you bring your bike inside to keep it from getting stolen. I guess there has been a string of thefts there.

Have fun.

I saw that on ADV. I sleep with my bike. Well, I'm about 6 feet away in the back of my van while the bike is on the trailer. And...the bike has big U-locks attaching the front wheel and bike frame to the trailer frame. You could saw the trailer frame easier than breaking this style of lock...but I think I'd wake up when the hacksaw got to hacking.

Edit: truth be told, these thefts seem to be aimed at higher dollar bikes than our lowly KLX, so there may be another benefit to owning a KLX...LOL! My '06 model looks used, and I like that.

Landon, I like your Versus.... Don't know why these guys just don't get one of those in lieu of supermotarding the klx.

If you guys don't have plates, you'll need to get a OHV plate in CO.

Also I was just looking at the map.... You cannot drive from Lake City to Silverton, except around the horn north via 50 or south via 160 (the long road south).
