Dan, you won't live forever, and when you go you won't be able to take the KLX with you anyway.

Dan -
If we leave home at the same time on Friday after work, which of us can get to Colorado first? That sure is beautiful country!

Looks like a little over 700 miles for you , and a little over 1200 miles for me. Long day for you, long day and a half for me. You and TNC might have about the same distance to go.

1700+ miles for EMS.

I'm about in the middle at 900 miles.

Split it into two days. Leave town after 1/2 day at work,
push to Moab area,
watch the stars,
camp out,
sunrise breakfast,
and on to CO next morning.

I've never been to Moab yet...may be hard to press on?
CO looks very, very enticing.

Ya.

That is a long haul, but it is worth it. On a previous vacation coming back from Rockland Maine, I drove from Rockland to Erie PA the first day and the second day I drove from Erie PA to Lincoln, NE (22 hrs I think). When I reached Iowa, I had to stop every hour to **** and clean the june bugs off of the Exploder (Trip was in 1999).

I have also driven from Idaho Falls to Lincoln, NE (22 hrs) coming back from Glacier NP. I was so tired heading east of Grand Island at 3:30 am I noticed some headlights coming at me. Note this is on I-80. A few minutes later a car passed me in the left lane (GOING THE WRONG DIRECTION ON THE INTERSTATE) and I was going 80 mph in the right lane. Being tired I just blew it off and kept going and hardly raised my heartbeat. Shortly thereafter a State Patrol on the proper side of the Interstate was flying heading East. I was pretty luck that I wasn't in the left lane, or I would be dead.
