Hey guys, if I replace the stock clutch lever setup with one of these setups what do I do about the clutch safety switch? (click on these in case it doesn't show up as a link)

 

Cut the wires and twist them together. Once that's done, you may as well disable the kickstand switch too since it will be obsolete at that point as well. Assuming you haven't already done that, of course.

 

Nope haven't done that yet but its on the list of things to do to prep for the NE KLX ride.

 

If you trace the kickstand wires up to underneath the seat you will find that you can disconnect them and then plug the pair into each other so you don't actually have to cut them. I cut my clutch wires up close to the connector so they would be safely out of the way under the headlight shroud.

 

Diddo, did mine last week. Cut the switch, not the main harness (one of my pet peeves is botching the main harness).
