Clutch replacement threads? Clutch is spinning, cant loosen it.!!

Interesting, although I'd sub oil for water. Fill with piston halfway? TDC? BDC?

If you have the spare parts take two metal plates and two fibre plates, line them up to fit into the clutch basket and inner basket. Drill holes to hold them together with some nuts/bolts, weld on a suitable handle on the metal plate to hold the plate tool when torquing down/removing the nut. I have used one on my two strokes and the same tool applies here...

Glad you got the clutch nut off.
I know this is too late to help you but perhaps will be useful to someone else, I used the combination of the tranny in 6th, a 22-year-old son standing on the rear brake, and the socket on a 1/2" drive breaker bar. That got the job done for me... I was shy about using an air-impact on the tranny.
