Clothes To Wear
#11
street:helmet, gloves, skate shoes.
fireroads and such:helmet, gloves, boots
ruff stuff:helmet, gloves, boots, knee/shin guards, chest protecter, looking for some good/cheap elbow/forarm guards
i had a 8 year old helmet and no chest protecter till i ate it at 30mph in a sandy/rocky wash on my death valley trip last week, made me value my gear a little more than i did before. bought a new helmet and protector the day i got back. had i had a chest protector on, i wouldnt be so sore right now. one thing i like about wearing a chest protector is that it takes the strain of a back pack off your shoulders and speads the load out some, i was having a bit of a problem with backpacks full of gear tearing away at my shoulders.

Magoo, It must be nice to have all that primo riding right out your front door. I had the chance to ride up out of the Entiat river ( lake creek, Cotton wood camp ground) what beautiful overlooks and great trails.

And ... now Back to the thread! and for the record, I'm 73 and still loving it! I always ride with the same gear: Joe Rocket M1 Tech Cordura Jacket (with liner) and all the protection for shoulder, elbow, back, sacral, and chest pads; Thor Quadrant knee protective system; Thor MX Quadrant boots; Thor gloves; Zamp Full Face Modular FL20 (Flip-Up) helmet with a buit in sunshade (flip-up-retraction); Monster factory colors, shirt and pants.

Thanks, Dan
Hey Dan888, Thanks for the howdy and the compliment! I never notice my age 'til I see the image in the mirror staring back at me!! OH Well! Just pulled into the mesa near parker, AZ. Some good riding out here and am waiting on all my buds to arrive. We do Thanksgiving here each year and get in a lot of riding while we are here. Got one new rider with us this time on a Yammie WRZ450. Hope he can keep up with the green machine!! HA!

Ha ha Rod, I think I know what you mean with the mirror. I turn 40 today, sounds old to me, but I feel like I'm 23 or so. Have a nice "Thanks giving" . I wish our Thanksgivng involved dirt bikes, sound fun.

Like most on here, I wear a mix of gear. Klim Moab pants with MX boots of your choice, Acerbis Pressure suit, 661 knee pads,Bell helmet, and Thor OTG goggles.
When it's colder or I'm doing more dual sport than dirt, I wear a Shift XC jacket with CE amour in the elbows.
I'm a firm believer in having good crash protection. I did some nice, fast woods riding today. I didn't go down any, but I think I saw Jesus once or twice.
