clicking the rear suspension
#12
You are spot on about this. I experimented extensively with all my clickers and found that Factory settings are great for mild riding. For jumping and medium off road use, fewer clicks are pretty necessary. I am now doing more street riding so I backed the clickers out(anti-clockwise). My forks are at 6 still but my rear shock is at 10. I don't want to soften the front up in case a panic stop is needed. Don't be afraid to play around to find the sweet spot for your riding style. If you ride mostly off road but not too many high jumps Go towards the factory settings and it feels like your riding on a cloud

like a cloud is right
these klx's do have a sweet slow trail and road ride.... i have a 1999 kx250 and it's got wild power @51hp and super stiff suspension... a cloud ride it is not... my 07 klx250 has 400 miles on it and sometimes (alot) it is definately the bike of choice for me to ride......

I have the solution!
All we need is for someone to invent a bike, or mass produce one with:
level selectors where you can save settings into the bike where it can change things like throttle response, power, and all suspension settings for different riding places.
So like you could have one selector for say tight technical trail, where you would want your throttle response a little slower, and the power backed off, and the suspension nice and cushony..
And another selector with a stiff suspension, max power, max response, for situations like open trail or smooth trail, fire road type riding..
that's it, I'm gonna make millions.. the perfect bike!!
