I use Lacquer thinner for a lot of cleaning, but I suppose my liver has taken a hit over the years. Wear gloves, or so I've been told.

WD-40 does clean well but can actually dull the plastic so I have stopped using it. I have 2 sets of whites, one for looking good in photo's and the other set stays on the bike for everyday use. I just use hot water with turtle wax car wash, it does alright by me.
Cheers!

Press some more mud in there so it looks like you just got off the trailhead

) this stuff is awesome. No hard rubbing either, everything just came straight off.

I was buying plastic cleaner from my dealer, but at 15 bucks a bottle, I think I'll try the magic eraser..great idea.
I also used to use WD40 on my street bike, it does work well on the chrome and engine parts, I still use it on the KLX after its clean, I spray done the engine and engine covers and then start the bike and let it burn off the exhaust, smelly at first but it does provide some protection on the engine and such.
