Default Choosing a PIPE

Hi Guys,

I just bought a klx250s with 9000 miles on it. The steering was a little stiff... so took it to the shop and they replaced some bearings and now the bike runs cherry!!

I really like the bike as is.. however i wouldn't mind getting a sick exhaust
Going up the trails i kinda got stuck in second gear several times. So was thinking about getting an aftermarket exhaust to enhance the performance a little bit.
Currently i have the original which is nice and quiet. But i'm looking to get a little more power.
Can anyone recommend as sick one??

Found the Q4 below but would like to hear what u think?

Products - Bike Finder - FMF Racing

Thanks a lot!!

The Q4 is considered the primo exhaust, but it's available for a lot less $$$ than the link you provided. Look around. I found more than one for $275.

i run a pc4 on my 07 an a q4 on my 09 the are about the same but my 09 has motor work cams and head porting so on a stock motor it would be quieter megabombs on both good tone on them too had an hmf awhile back always seemed to rattle but if you are only looking for a small bump an oem klx300r setup is nice from what i have heard on here

I think you'd get more torque by going down a size or two on your counter-sprocket. The slip-on alone will have minimal impact on performance.

OK awesome.. Thanks guys!! Q4 it is then :-) Can get it for $297.00 on amazon though have to pay $50.00 for shipping to Hawaii :-(

Wouldn't it be optimal to get a header as well? The MegaBomb or PowerBomb?? Heard the MegaBomb provides 3 extra HP's??? That must give a lot!

Arhh i see. How much you think that would decrease the top speed? I don't really need to go faster than 60Mph..

The header adds a little bit of low end grunt ( not 3 hp !!!!). The megabomb gets more positive reviews.

Is it worth it? I think so. But it is definitely not needed.

Depends on how much money you want to spend.
