Okay guys, I got a little 'around the parking lot' ride on the bike today. Once I found the choke, it started and idled perfectly. One thing is for sure, I don't think I'll be modding this bike for performance anytime soon. You will all laugh, but the throttle response just off idle definitely surprised me a bit! At least I didn't drop it, so I consider the whole experience a success. Have I mentioned that I haven't ridden in 20 years? The last bike Iowned was a clapped out '81 XR 100 when I was about 12.

Igotta tell ya,this forum hasbeen an awesome resource for me. I can't wait to seal the deal and start posting pics, riding stories, and of course, more questions!

Trust me nobody will laugh here. There are a lot of guys that bought this bike after not riding for 15 or 20 years. Just take your time getting back into it, and please take a MSF class near you. It will help you to get back into the swing of things and it will also help you to stay safe in traffic. My experience on bikes didn't really start until I was 14 with a Hodaka bike, then I had a RM 80, a 3 and 4 wheeler, then a couple of road bikes and now the KLX, but really its been 25 plus years since I was on the dirt with a bike, but a year and a half later its like everything just comes back to you. Let us know how the sale goes. And again welcome to Team Green.

Dang, I went too cheap on mine[8D]

Actually, $3,600 is above book, technically speaking. I'd offer less.
