Checked my tire pressure today...

I'm going to give it some time, and not make an adjustment based on a few loose rides. I was out Thursday night though, and it was the loosest, and scariest ride I've ever had on the KLX. The front tire was new late last year (but still like new), and the rear is a 3 ride old Trakmaster.
Borg, I'm from the Hammer too, and I've always said it, but always thought it was a Newfie thing.

Deej, do you get into any tight, fast, single track with lots of roots, and rocks? If you do, you should get rim locks and run low pressure, you will never go back. Trust me
20 + psi might be fine for what you ride, really it all depends on how aggressive you are, and what type of terrain you are riding.

Even at 10psi my rear tire felt plenty hard with the thumb test...
I wouldn't even think about 20+ psi in knobbies, they need to grab the roots and rocks, not bounce off of them

Heck, I've run down to 6 lbs when I'm feeling frisky and running a rear trials tire on the back. Talk about absolutely awesome traction and handling in the roots and rocks!
But even as high as 15 is too high for off-road, IMO. I can tell a big difference between 15 and 12. If I was doing mostly road and some off-road, I'd probably run 14. But for 99% of the dual sporting, racing, off-roading, etc, that I ride, 12 lbs front and rear with two opposing rim locks and UHD tubes is the ticket. Drop that down to 6-7 lbs in the rear if using a trials tire, and that's about as good as it gets.
Oh, and get an accurate tire pressure gauge. Even being off by 1 or 2 pounds will affect performance. You would be surprised how far off cheap $10 gauges can be. I highly recommend this one - and to make sure you aren't tempted back into your old ways, get the one that doesn't go past 15 psi :

Cool bikes for sure, a guy at work has one. I had to go home and google it the first time I saw it in the bike rack. LOL
