Same thing happend with my ninja two years ago.

Bike was running fine, i took a quick ride to the store to grab some brews, came home and parked it. Next day i try to go for a ride and the bike sounded like it was running on three cylinders at first, then that turned into 2 cylinders and a bad misfire then it wouldn't even cough.

Pulled the plugs and they looked fine, and seemed to spark nice enough but i had another set kicking around so I installed those and she fired right up and i was screaming down the road later that afternoon.

I always keep a couple extra sets of plugs around now and its one of the first things i'll try when something isn't running right.
