The S and SF use different color back-lighting (S=white, SF=blue). That's the only way I know of to change the color... I think they're very different units thiough, and cannot be inter-changed

The SF is calibrated for the 17" front wheel, S for the 21" wheel. A SpeedoHealer (or some such device) might be able to compensate?

Heck, I had to use a SpeedoDRD to compensate on mine, and my setup is stock S speedo with stock S front wheel...

Since I haven't tried to get my speedo to read correctly, I don't know how much those devices can adjust the reading.

You'll have to be the pioneer. No one else has taken the instrument cluster apart far enough to see if that's all it takes to change the display color.

It is likely a back lit LCD display. It probably uses several LEDs to light it. How are your soldering skills...???
