Default Changing a 250s to an SF

I've had my bike up for sale for a while with no dice. If I can't get a good price for it, might as well ride the **** out of it this summer.

Bike is an 09 KLX250s. What is the best/cheapest way of making it into an SF? I just want the rims/tires/rotors. I planned on trail riding it, but everywhere I can think of going comes with a trespassing ticket So all of my riding has been pavement.

Who makes the stock SF rims? where is the best place to buy them? Or just try to trade?

I'm assuming calipers are the same but with a different mounting bracket.

Does the 1 degree difference in the rake really make that much of a difference?

What else is different and needs to be changed? How different is the gearing on a SF vs an S?

Why not just get some street tires and be done?

That's a sad deal there's no place to ride off street. Have you tried offering a trade S for SF?

Considering you just got done trying to sell the bike, i wouldn't think dropping another grand + into rims makes alot of sense.

If I didn't do a trade, I've considered buying more roadworthy tires.

What do you have on your KLX, what do you recommend. Sizes?

I'm running the Kenda K761 tires. 90/90-21 and 120/80-18. You might be able to cram a 130 on the back but the 120 on that rim makes a PERFECT tire profile when mounted.

shinko 705's would work well too.
Or you could get an 18" hoop and spokes and make your front rim an 18. Kind of a cheap mans version of a sumo.
